My kids have been video games enthusiasts since the beginning of the consoles. There were many a nights when I would come downstairs, and lo and behold I would have a houseful of gamers trying to beat various nemesis and levels. As the years went on, we put in a surround sound system to enhance our movie watching, which then was just hooked to our big box TV. I had to make an appointment to watch my movies on the week-ends as the kids took over, loving the surround sound system with their video games. It was really ok with me, I knew where the kids were, after all. Now, my kids are out on their own and still playing video games to relax and to keep in touch with friends states apart. They will forever keep up on the newest technology on their video games and have it be a part of their relaxation time. As for me, I miss all the surround sound gaming activities, but I can now watch a movie whenever I want.
