Why Video Games Always Keep It Entertaining |

This is the final race in a four race series for all the marbles. The sun is shining over the make believe Sedona, Arizona racetrack and my modified Lexus IS-F is trembling to break loose when that green light drops. The competition is stiff but I have come in first the past three races so now this is for nothing but pride and bonus points. Waiting for the timer to tick down, I’m thinking to myself this game looks like it could really be happening. The graphics are that good. Side note, there was a time when my grandma sat watching my brother and I play racing video games and at the end when my we were yelling at each other while vying for first place position she said, “I thought you guys were watching something on TV.”
The home theater explodes with sound as the green light flashes and the race begins. I get pinned outside in the first corner before going off track. Already in second to last this is going to take the best I got. By the end, I have made it to third with two in front. Braking late into the second to last turn, I run wide and the race is over. Hitting the restart button, it is time to try it all again. Video games over a home theater always keep me entertained.
