video games, home theaterI wouldn’t call myself a klutz but there are moments when that would seem to be the case. One of those happened Thursday night. I was walking home from getting dinner at a local pub. Full but not drunk, I bet my friend I’d win in a foot race home. From where we were, it was a good 100 yard dash before turning left and heading to our apartment’s doors. After pausing for a second to tighten the belt and tie our shoes, we were off. I took an early lead but he was right there nipping at my heels. Coming around the left turn, I lost traction in some water on the sidewalk slipped and banged my head into the ground. Needless to say, I lost and then needed to get a couple stitches.

Since, I have been taking it easy, lying in front of the home theater playing video games and watching movies. Nothing like video games online to take my mind off the throbbing going on in my head. It was a freak accident but could be chalked up in the category of me being a klutz. Next footrace, I’ll be more careful around wet cement.
