Video Games
Yesterday my best friends 9-year old son challenged me to a few video games. It was his birthday, and everyone else had gone home except me, so his mom told him he could pull out the video games and play for a little while. I thought that I’d sit quietly on the couch and watch him play the video games with his brother, but instead, he wanted me to play games with them. I figured that I could easily beat the socks off of him and possibly his brother at the video games, but little did I know when I said yes, just how wrong I was. He gave me the opportunity to warm up first, but I told him that I didn’t need a warm up, that I was ready to win. All I can say to that is that my big mouth got me in trouble yet again, because I didn’t realize that he could play video games as well as he could. He got a kick out of seeing me lose, and told me later that he wanted me to play games with them because I was an easy target. I would have loved to protest, but he was right. It was fun though.
