I'm not a big fan of going to the theater, so I started looking into a home theater.  For home theaters, there's two ways to go about it.  You can buy a widescreen HD television and surround sound speaker system or a projector and screen.  Most people will go for a television and surround sound home theater system because it not only works for movies, but for television watching as well.  And many people don't have room for a special home theater room in their home, so the TV and surround sound is the best in that case. 

The reasons I'm not into going out to the theaters are the sticky floors, dirty and hard seats, noisy people and expensive snacks and drinks.  If I stay home and watch movies on my home theater system, I end up saving money and sanity.  I can eat whatever I want while I watch movies and not spend a fortune for it.  I'm in the comfort of my own clean house, on comfortable furniture.  I can even sit in my pajamas and watch if I want to.

A home theater is a great option and doesn't have to cost a lot of money.
