Video Games
It used to be that families would spend time together playing board games. It was considered quality family time. That is not what my family does. We play video games together. It started when my son was just a baby. We would hold our son on our lap as we played a PC game. Then when he got older he wanted to play the games with us.
The only problem was that none of the PC games we had were for family. They only had single player games or ones not suitable for our children. Now we have a Wii so that we can play together as a family. The video games actually pull us together just like board games can. We have a game night once a week. We play age appropriate games, but even as adults we have a great time playing them. The Wii has games like cow races, baseball, gulf, and bowling. It is a lot of fun for the entire family. Game night is full of laughter. I never thought video games could be so physically demanding and fun at the same time.
