There are certain times during my life where I have really been bored; I mean really bored! During my youth, this typically meant playing your favorite board games; funny how they call them board games, when you play them because you are bored. At any rate, there are some major changes that I have seen over the past fifteen years, as more and more board game classics crossover as video games. It seems that these days you can find almost all classic board games as video games. The most often one that I have seen is the game of Monopoly – where more video games and their respective consoles are now offering this game as video games. I don’t find this surprising in the least. In fact, it would be quite expected if you really think about it. The smart fellows that operate the board game companies know that video games challenge their market dominance. So in turn, they have to crossover. This means that lovers of timeless games, like me, get to still enjoy them as video games today!
