home theater The house next door to mine is a rental and I met the new tenant yesterday morning when he was out in the yard watching the the satellite installer hook up his dish. He asked me who was my cable provider and I smugly told him that I get my TV off the Internet because it's a lot cheaper and there are so many channels. We love our Internet home theater. We simply have a computer tower, keyboard and mouse next to the home theater system and we use a wireless router to get the signal, and nothing could be easier. It costs just a few dollars a month and we can watch just about everything we want by having a home theater via the Internet.

Just yesterday I ordered the speakers shown in this blog. They are totally wireless and capture signals from MP3 players, phones, and computers, both Mac and PC. We have a set of speakers for our home theater already, but I liked the fact that these could be placed virtually anywhere in the house, yard, or even the garage to broadcast the audio from these assorted devices. Our home theater gets a lot of use, but from time to time we want to listen to music and these are perfect. These are the ARTDIO BT-311 2.0 Portable Bluetooth® Stereo Speakers and they use 4 AAA batteries and have a signal capture range of 35 feet.

We love to listen to music when we're either out camping or working in the garage and these speakers are just the perfect addition to our camping gear and will also fill out the sound on our home theater system. We have a set of speakers for the home theater, but since these capture the computer's audio output, we can also put these behind our chairs and get some surround sound, too. These weigh just over a pound and I know that they will probably be in constant use. When I ordered them, I also checked our supply of rechargeable AAA batteries, too. I want to make sure that we are the greenest we can be when using battery power. In fact, I might even look online for a solar battery charger to go with the speakers, too, for our Christmas. That would make a perfect all around gift for everyone. We love our home theater and when I find things like this to use with it, I'm just as happy as can be.
